Claudio Carbó, pianist.
Was born in Beniarjó (Valencia ) in 1976. Began his musical training at age six with his father. Later he studied with Carmen Pérez Blanquer and Fernando Puchol in Conservatories of Music in Valencia and Madrid , earning the highest ratings and Honor Awards Final Degree and Career.
In the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofia studied with Dimitri Bashkirov, with the assistance of Anatoli Povzoun and Galina Egyazarova, getting mentions of Most Outstanding Student of the Chairs of Piano and Chamber Music under the direction of Marta Gulyas .
Continuing his studies at the Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium Munich with Professor Vadim Suchanov and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich and at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory with pianist Elisso Virsaladze.
Receive masterclasses from Leon Fleisher, Alicia de Larrocha, Vitalij Margulis, Karl-Ulrich Schnabel and Joaquín Achúcarro, among others.
Gets numerous awards in national and international competitions , highlighting the 2nd Prize at the IX International Piano Competition 2003 Guerrero Foundation and 1st Prize at the III Piano Competition ” Anton Garcia Abril” 2006.
Participates in various international music festivals also offering numerous recitals and with orchestras throughout the Spanish geography as well as in Germany, Austria, Scotland, France, Italy, Portugal, Czech Republic, Russia, Switzerland, Venezuela …
Include its concert tour in the Middle East (Egypt , Lebanon , Syria and Jordan ) and Italy ( Rome, Milan , Naples and Catania) with a program of classical and contemporary Spanish music.
Take part in the world premiere of “Concierto Latino” for piano and orchestra by composer Gerardo Gerulewicz with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Caracas and the official premiere of the series ” Microprimaveras ” by Antón García Abril .
He currently combines his teaching as a professor of piano at the Conservatory of Music Josep Climent de Oliva (Valencia) with the implementation of various monographs devoted to the piano music of Isaac Albéniz, Frederic Chopin, Robert Schumann , Franz Liszt, Claude Debussy, Verdi and Wagner and Anton Garcia Abril, about who is developing his doctoral thesis.
